This new generation of Taylor Made R11 driver comes in its signature modern-classical fusion of black, red and chrome for a striking aesthetic appeal, but it is the technology behind Taylor made golf drivers that makes them attractive to golfers in the first place.
First off is the 5-way Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP), technology which was first introduced in the R9 family of Taylor drivers. The 5-way ASP allows the loft and face angles to be decoupled independently of each other. Flight Control Technology (FCT) also allows a golfer to change the orientation of the head along with the shaft; effectively adjusting the loft up and down. These features taken together allow a golfer to adjust the angles to the demands of the course – an indispensable feature for the serious golfer who plays across a wide array of settings.
The 5-way ASP and FCT is further supported by Movable Weight Technology (MWT), which first came around in the R7 series of Taylor made drivers. The MWT allows a golfer to shift discretionary weight around the different areas of the club head; making it easier to change the trajectory of a ball for greater distance and accuracy. The R11s driver comes with one 10- gram and another 1-gram weight cartridge, which the golfer can then intuitively set up to create varying draw biases. The R11s is topped off by Taylor’s signature Inverted Cone clubface Technology, which expands the COR zone and significantly increases maximum ball speed.
All these technologies taken together give the golfer an unprecedented amount of control, accuracy and power with each shot delivered – perfect for hitting off the tee.
Taylor Made R11s Driver Features
The new R11S is bigger, faster, more tunable and longer than the original R11 driver. A 460cc matte-white finish head is powered by a new 5-sided ASP plate, new 1.5º FCT sleeve and movable weights. With 3D Tuning, you can independently tune loft, face angle and flight path your swing.
