Callaway Forged Wedges Description
Looking for a set of honest-to-goodness forged wedges, with that butter-soft feel only carved steel can provide? Callaway has you covered. The company’s legendary Chief Designer, wedge-master Roger Cleveland, crafted the Callaway Forged Wedge series for maximum control, spin and, of course, feel.
What’s new about these clubs? Plenty, including super- sharp Tour CC grooves for enhanced control; a C-shaped sole for better playability from different lies; and two stunning finish options – Copper, which grows more distinctive as it oxidizes with age, and Trivalent Dark Chrome, a distinguished, glare- reducing gray.
More about those Tour CC grooves: There are 21 cut into the face of each Callaway Forged Wedge, combining with the company’s Triple Net Forging process to create razor-like edges. They feature the maximum groove capacity allowed by USGA rules, meaning you’ll lose little if any spin when playing from wet turf or rough. (And yes, the grooves are conforming.)
Callaway Forged Wedges offer plenty of classic qualities, too, like a high toe and straight leading edge to promote a solid, square setup. They’re forged from 1020 carbon steel, noted for its unmistakable impact feel and feedback.
These wedges are available in six different lofts (52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60° and 64°), each with a bounce angle designed to deliver shotmaking versatility under any conditions. Plus, the narrower, C-shaped sole allows golfers to open the face wide and effectively reduce bounce for those really tight lies and firm bunkers.
